A 36-year-old teacher at Kasonjola Primary School of Chipangali District, Eastern Province has committed suicide by hanging himself using a wire after failing to the money he owed the people
Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Luckson Sakala who confirmed the incident has identified the victim as Mabvuto Njobvu.
Mr Sakala in a statement said the victim left a note before committing sucide, stating that he decided to end his life because he was owing several people.
Mr Sakala said the incident happened yesterday, Monday December 1, and the body was found in the house by a pupil he was staying with.
“Mabvuto Njobvu of Kasonjola Primary School has allegedly hanged himself with a wire. He was found hanging in the house by a pupil he was staying with,” Mr Sakala said.
He said the body had been deposited in Chipata Central Hospital Mortuary, awaiting postmortem.
