Mirriam “Khalida” Chivunda also known as the Duchess of Love is an anointed worship leader, song and scriptwriter born on May 23rd in Zambia. She is the 7th born in a family of nine.
As a teenager, Khalida became a born again, spirit-filled Christian. For this, she likes describing herself as a ‘love-being.’ This is mainly because she has a passion for winning souls by reaching out to the world through her songs and preaching God’s word.
She has dedicated her life to serve God and minister His word through music.
As such, she served as Choir director at Over-comer’s Faith Chapel and later joined her husband at Winners’ Chapel International.
In her high school days, she sang in a group called Khoinonia, but later teamed up with other passionate believers and friends to come up with a gospel girl group called “The Vow”. Together they recorded an album which helped her get to the limelight as a solo artist especially when she did a cover of T-sharps “Alpha and Omega”, which has received massive response with testimonies following.
Now Khalida comes through with her debut single titled “You love like no other”. This is a song that talks about Gods unconditional love and teaches us to love others as he loves us. Khalida narrates that her inspiration for this song was drawn from the Holy Spirit and His word, and from her personal experience with Him over the years.
The song was recorded at Rhythm City Entertainment in Lusaka and was produced by renowned Lusaka based producer Sheka Shex, and was officially released on the 14th October, 2019 on theNativez.com and audioMack.
This song features backing vocals from Don Worship.
The Duchess of Love in conjunction with Rhythm City, over the years have embarked on a project to produce songs for those who can’t afford to pay for their recording sessions.
She believes that “if you empower someone, they in turn would empower someone else”.
Thus, demonstrating Gods love to the world. She is signed to Rhythm City Entertainment in Lusaka. Her personal mandate now is to communicate, demonstrate and teach the love of God to the world.
