A WOMAN of Lusaka has been fined K2, 000 in the Chelstone Local Court for stripping her older sister naked with insults for no apparent reasons.
Charity Nkonde, 35, of Kaunda Square was sued by Susan Nkonde,39, of the same area for insulting her.
Nkonde told presiding magistrate Kennedy Mwansa Mutale sitting with senior magistrate Charity Milambo on November 15 while at home she just heard her sister insulting her.
“We tried to warn her but she couldn’t stop. She stripped me naked with insults and does not even have respect for me and the other siblings,
“It was on November 15 when I sat with my friends in my house, and after a while I just heard my sister insulting me in her house because we share the same apartment. We tried to warn her but she couldn’t stop. She stripped me naked with insults and does not even have respect for me and the other siblings,” Nkonde said
And key witness Ruth Nkonde, 33 said Susan insulted Charity first without any reasons and that they even fought and the matter reached the hospital because of the assault she caused on her.
In defence Charity said she was asleep and heard someone insulting her.
“I have not talked to my sister for seven months now, I heard them insulting me and we exchanged insults. I just want her to start respecting me,’’ she said.
Court found out that Charity insulted her sister and appeared not to have respect for her.
It ordered Charity to pay her sister Susan K2, 000 as a deterrent with first installment of K800.
