FAZ has moved in to censure Power Dynamos following unruly behavour of fans during its week 10 league home fixture played against Kabwe Warriors on Sunday at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe.

In letter addressed to the Power executive, general secretary Adrian Kashala recommended that the Kitwe side writes an exculpatory to the soccer governing body over its failure to guarantee the safety of the visiting team.

Power fans became unruly after Warriors beat the Kitwe side one- nil in the two side’s week 10 league fixtures played at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe.

But Kashala said his association was concerned that the fixture was played in unsporting like behaviour which was contrary to FAZ, CAF and FIFA regulations on upholding safety and security at the stadium.

Kashala said Power failed to uphold article 7.5 of the FAZ disciplinary code which places the responsibility on the club to guarantee the safety of the visiting team and that of match officials and soccer fans.

He challenged Power to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against them.

‘’You are requested to submit a written submission as to why you failed to uphold article 7.5 of the FAZ disciplinary code which places responsibility in you to guarantee the safety of the visiting team and that of match officials and soccer fans ,

Furthermore show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against your team and your explanation should reach my office by Friday November 8,”Kashala said

Meanwhile Power has moved in to disband its supporters committee and replace it with its own.

In a communiqué issued on Wednesday by the executive the club withdrew the recognition of its supporter’s council so as to protect the interest of its fans who needed official identification and club membership.

The executive had since appointed a Fans’ Mobilization Committee (FMC) to be headed by Tresford Mukuka to organize and manage its fans.

Power has had a poor run in the 2029/2020 season which saw the side engage Guston Mutobo as its new coach much to the disapproval of its soccer fans.

Mutobo has only won one game since assuming his role as coach having played three games at the helm of the team.
